Graphic Designer

The Graphic Designer provides direct technical and creative solutions support to all divisions of NCSI. They will provide concept development, graphic design, and print coordination support. Applicant should demonstrate excellence in graphic design skills and a high degree of innovation through their professional portfolio. Position reports to the Director of Corporate Marketing and Communications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for graphic design, from concept and mockup to final stage publication and distribution
Development of graphics, multimedia, collateral design, proposal and production through distribution for NCSI’s conferences and events
Produce fully-branded, exacting designs
Regularly engage with non-designers and will be expected to leverage their input in to the ultimate deliverable
Provide creative solutions to a project request
Draw on best practice and utilize templates where appropriate
Regularly contribute ideas throughout the design process
Responsible for the quality of client deliverables
Work with the web developer to keep site up to date
Will be expected to work independently, with occasional input from leadership
Provide excellent customer service to all divisions and clients
Assist with other divisional tasks as necessary

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in graphic design or fine arts with a strong emphasis on graphic design required
2 -5 years experience required in Graphic Design /Communications Design
Experience producing print materials for professional use (business to business)
Excellent analytical thinking and creative problem solving skills for visual information design
Knowledge and experience with the Adobe Creative Suite 3 (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop), Dreamweaver and Flash
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with web design
Ability to respond to design changes accurately and quickly
Stamina to produce high-quality graphics in a fast-paced work environment
Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in order to meet deadlines
Ability to travel and represent NCSI at trade shows, professional meetings and conferences
Must be highly organized and detail oriented
Ability to function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Strong communication skills and customer service skills, both verbal and written
Ability to lift 50lbs
Valid driver’s license
US Citizenship is required

Conference and Conventions Sales Manager
Our growing Federal Government Conference and Convention Division is seeking an outgoing individual who possess high energy and high self-esteem to sell booth spaces and sponsorships to corporate IT companies.
Key result areas include maintaining and growing our current client base, prospecting and developing new customers and selling strategic sponsorship and booth packages. Candidates will contact customers by phone and in person.
Exceeding individual and team sales goals as well as providing a high level of customer service is essential. Candidate will utilize database to record and track sales.
Qualified candidates will be self starters who possess a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of three years in a successful sales position.
Experience should include entertaining clients and conducting outside sales calls with a proven track record in handling objections and closing sales.
This position requires a flexible schedule to travel and work at our events which will include some weekends (15% travel). Computer literacy is required. US Citizenship and a valid driver’s license is required.
