Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

As CFO, Dan is responsible for the financial stewardship of NCSI – the leading “full-service contractor serving the specialized conference, exposition and outsourcing needs of the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community and numerous federal agencies. NCSI’s staff of 60 dedicated professionals produces more than 150 successful technology expositions and conventions annually throughout the U.S. and Europe. Dan joined the company in February 2004.

Due in part to Dan’s leadership, NCSI has enjoyed dramatic growth in both revenue and profitability. His recent accomplishments include transforming NCSI’s headquarters into a state-of-the art facility in the heart of Columbia Town Center and the deployment of a cutting edge CRM/ERP enterprise computer system. In addition to his financial duties, Dan oversees the company’s administration, IT and HR departments.

Prior to joining NCSI, Dan served as Vice President, CFO and Secretary-Treasurer of the Consumer Electronics Association – producer of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). There Dan played a key role in the growth of the CES over the years and won numerous accolades for his efforts in creating a high-tech environment at one of the 50 great places to work in the DC area (Washingtonian Magazine, 11/03). Other past employers include the National School Boards Association, MCI Communications Corp. and Burlington Industries, Inc.

With nearly 23 years of financial management experience (as well as expertise in exhibitions, conferences, association management and M&A), Dan is uniquely qualified to speak to the financial and accounting issues faced by associations and independent show organizers.

Dan is a CPA and a graduate of Virginia Tech (BS Accounting, 1986). His memberships include SISO, IAEE, AICPA, AFCEA and the Maryland Hokie Club (Treasurer).
