The 2nd Annual Synergy Conference and Expo moved further south this year, taking place on Florida’s gulf coast in Marco Island. Sponsored by GETA, the theme of this year’s conference focused on changes in national processes as a result of what we have learned about the relationship between operations and intelligence in wartime.
GETA was honored to have as a co-sponsor this year, the United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM). Faced with an ever demanding mission, USSTRATCOM opened the conference with remarks from Brigadier General Mark Owen, Director, Plans and Policy (J5). The week kicked off with a panel of representatives from the Center for Army Lessons Learned, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, US Strategic Command, Air Combat Command, and USMCR, MCIS/MARFORCOM G2 who shared real world experiences with the attendees.

The conference headed outdoors on Tuesday night for the All-Hands Networking Luau. Sponsored by General Dynamics, conference attendees and exhibitors had the chance to network and unwind while enjoying Marco Island’s beautiful beachfront. |
